Mehrdad Javaherian is a certified LEED Green Associate with a long history in environmental remediation. He serves as Technical Director at Endpoint Consulting, Inc. in San Francisco, California. Among Mehrdad Javaherian’s areas of professional expertise is the patented Vapor Energy Generator (VEG) soil remediation technology.
VEG technology uses steam at temperatures upward of 1400 F to desorb and treat contaminants from soil in a fully transportable on-site unit. The treatment occurs in an enclosed chamber that captures harmful gases and sends them through a series of filters to reduce emissions before they are employed by the VEG system as combustible fuel. In this way, the byproducts of soil remediation are used to power the remediation process.
VEG technology is highly effective and enables operators to replace soil in its original location following treatment. The VEG process results in carbon footprint reductions of 80 percent and cost savings on the order of 50 percent when compared to traditional landfill disposal.
