With over 22 years of experience, engineer and environmental epidemiologist Dr. Mehrdad Javaherian works as an environmental remediation and public health consultant at Endpoint Consulting in San Francisco. In a recent press release, CDPH announced that it is partnering with the California Health and Human Services Agency (CHHS) on a new initiative to help improve the health of California residents. The initiative, entitled Let’s Get Healthy California, encourages policymakers, health-care providers, community leaders, and others to share innovations to reach the goal of making California the healthiest state in America.
CDPH and CHHS are currently accepting innovation submissions in six goal areas: healthy beginnings, living well, end of life, redesigning the health system, creating healthy communities, and lowering cost of care. Finalists will be announced later in the fall and recognized during the Innovation Conference, which will take place in early 2016.
